For this reason, painkillers should not be used without determining the exact cause of abdominal pain. Among the most common negative examples in this regard is appendicitis. When appendicitis first starts, the patient is taking painkillers because the pain is vague. Even if the patient’s pain is relieved, appendicitis continues to progress. As a result, these patients often come to the doctor late, sometimes with ruptured appendicitis.

The most common causes of abdominal pain in adults are gynecological pains in women, and ischemic and intestinal diseases in men. While pain due to gallbladder stones is encountered in the second place in women, abdominal pain caused by some bacteria and parasites – intestinal diseases is the most common in children. It is stated that the most dangerous situation in neglected and long-lasting abdominal pain is cancer of the abdominal organs.
