China’s Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has decided to recall chocolate products with salmonella bacteria, which previously caused food poisoning in the UK.
The Food Safety Center has issued a warning against consuming the Belgian origin imported chocolate product called “Egg Hunt Kit” of Kinder company.

The Center announced that it was determined that some Kinder products included in the recall list of the British Food Standards Agency (FSA) and the Irish Food Safety Authority (FSAI) were imported to Hong Kong due to the cases that occurred in the UK.

Warning against food poisoning

Stating that the importer company City Super Limited has taken the products suspected to be affected from the shelves and recalled the products sold, the Center warned the consumers against the possibility of food poisoning.

The salmonella epidemic, which is thought to be caused by the products in question, caused the illness of 63 children in England.
