“It would not be wrong to say that there is an improvement in this field every day. Today, there are different treatment modalities and treatment models. Even within tumors that we used to call very bad, there is a classification among themselves, and the results of treatment are different according to these classifications. Patients who we used to say will live for 8 months, They respond to some drugs and can live longer because they have a classification in it. Vaccine development studies are also carried out for brain tumors that are still in the trial phase. The vaccine is not valid for every tumor type. It is used in certain species in large centers around the world, in the first phase. Some stem cell studies are also carried out. It has positive results in a very small number of patients. In neurosurgery, surgeries are now performed with special microscopes called microsurgery. Brain surgeries require working on very small structures in order not to damage any cells of the brain. There are microscopes and special tools that allow this work now. We use navigation on yachts. In deep tumors, navigation is used to locate the tumor. Just like the navigation in vehicles that show the direction, it also guides us.”
