Our species is an interesting species that, with its high-level cognitive functions, is capable of dominating not only its environment but also its own body. In addition, those who have experienced the dynamics of muscle biology have realized that they can force and develop the skeletal muscle in their bodies in some ways. In this case, physical activities such as bodybuilding and exercise also emerged.

How new muscles form and how muscles develop has long been a question that has puzzled scientists. A clear answer has not yet been reached on this issue, but some hypotheses have been formed. With recent advances in imaging techniques, some possibilities have emerged. For this reason, clearer answers about how muscles are produced are emerging every day.

It is not difficult to answer the question of how existing muscles develop. Muscles composed of muscle fibers can be thought of as simple cellular structures. Besides, it is known that muscles have two basic types of contraction. These are isotonic and isometric contractions. For example, when a 50 kilogram mass is tried to be lifted, at the beginning of this process, the muscles contract until the mass is displaced, but there is no displacement and isometric contraction occurs in this case. Then, when sufficient force is given, the mass starts to move and the muscles contract with the application of the same force, which is defined as isotonic contraction.

Continuation and repetition of the described process, in other words, frequent stimulation of certain muscles, resulting in protein and nutrient accumulation in the muscles. Therefore, cells develop more and grow in volume. While the development of existing muscles takes place in this way, when you go to a gym and work for 2 hours, you feel that the muscles are swollen for this reason.
