In this context, health is one of the most important elements for human beings as well as for all living things. If we cannot lead a healthy life, the difficulty of the moment we live can turn into an extremely difficult situation and this situation can directly affect the quality of life. For all these reasons, health is an indispensable priority of human life.

Mankind has made efforts to minimize the factors that adversely affect human health in every period of the age. As a result of these studies, the basic care and responsibilities of the health field have been created thanks to medical science and this process has continued until today’s modern medicine world. Since medicine progresses by accumulating in every period, the great health problems of human beings in the past can be eliminated with a simple treatment method today. Especially thanks to technology and science, the field of health has developed rapidly and the average life span of humanity has reached its maximum level today.

It is possible to define the word health in many ways. These definitions can be listed as follows.

Health in Terms of Biological Science: It is the state in which each cell that composes the structures lives in harmony and maintains its functions at the highest level. In other words, it can be explained as bodily well-being.

Health by Behavioral Characteristics: It is the state of understanding in which direction one’s behaviors result and to what extent this result is correct. It can also be described as social health.

Health According to Medical Anthropology: Having control over the basic resources that make up living standards, that is, having a healthy state in terms of social well-being.

Health According to the World Health Organization: Health, as defined in the 1948 statute, is defined not only as the absence of disease or infirmity, but also as a complete physical, mental and social well-being.

Health can be divided into objective and subjective health. Objective health; It is the state of not detecting any health problems according to examination and diagnostic tests. As for subjective health; It is the ability to analyze and perceive one’s own situation physically, spiritually and socially.

Health has many dimensions. These; physical, social, emotional (psychological), intellectual (occupational) and spiritual dimensions.

Physical Dimension: Compliance with all health conditions that should be physically normal. In this dimension, it is discussed that the individual should stay away from all kinds of negative factors that may adversely affect his own health.

Social Dimension: It is the need for a person to lead a healthy life with other individuals, society, family, environment and nature. In this dimension, the individual is expected to maintain all social activities in a healthy way.

Emotional (Psychological) Dimension: It is the dimension in which more emotional situations are handled. The important thing here is that the person achieves an emotionally healthy movement. His emotions are not negative.

Intellectual (Professional) Dimension: It can be defined as being able to meet professional needs in a healthy way in general. Here, the individual is expected to develop a healthy level by having features such as liking to be active, solving problems, and being able to participate in activities.

Spiritual Dimension: It states that the person should have a healthy moral, ethical and value principles. In this dimension, the person can be expressed as a healthy individual who has grasped the meaning and purpose of life, defined himself and enjoyed life.
