Does a brain tumor make you sleep?

Drowsiness is usually seen when the brain tumor reaches a certain size. As the tumor grows and presses on the surrounding tissues within the skull, numbness occurs and more sleep than usual may be needed.

Vaccines are treatments for the prevention of infections. Tumor vaccines activate our defense system and kill cancer cells. Tumor vaccines are intended to treat the disease, not prevent it. Although we have positive results in tumors such as glioblastoma, more studies should be done for vaccines to be accepted.

Genetic Approaches

The cause of tumor formation may be a deterioration in the genetic structure. Clarification of changes in genome structure can guide oncologists in treatment. E.g; Some patients with oligodendroglioma (a type of brain tumor) have lost certain parts of their chromosomes. These patients respond better to chemotherapy than patients with other oligodendromas.

With the developed methods, central nervous system tumors are approached more consciously. Thus, tumors can be treated more easily.
